Catering
Pupils may either bring sandwiches or purchase their lunch at school which is provided on a cafeteria basis in the dining room. We do not allow pupils in years 7 - 11 to visit local shops to purchase food; those living very close to school may seek written permission to go home for lunch. There is a wide variety of food on sale from a menu which changes weekly and the school attaches great importance to the promotion of healthy eating; in addition to the vegetarian main meal, pasta, rice dishes and filled jacket potato dishes are available daily. We have recently been granted a Heartbeat award from the Environmental Health Department. This is in recognition of our healthy eating menu.
