The Oldham Hulmeians’ Annual Dinner 2010
The annual dinner will be held at School on Friday 16th April 2010, at 7.00 pm for 7.45 pm. Our President Alison O’Brien will host the event and the Guest Speaker is Professor Andrew J H Porter, FRSE, PhD, MBA, BSc. He attended Hulme 1973-80 and holds the Chair in Molecular and Cell Biology at University of St Andrews, is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, was Ernst & Young Science and Technology Entrepreneur of Year for the UK 2005 and has published in excess of sixty scientific papers. The central theme of his laboratory is the application of antibody engineering to the solution of medical and environmental problems.
A dinner has been the highlight of the Old Boys’ Association calendar for 100 years and its spirit lives on in this event which is open to all former pupils of the School. It is always a sell out and this year we offer improved bar facilities, menu and wine list. Great speeches, good company and the return of the sweepstake!!
