Young Enterprise Success

News posted: 22-04-2009

After a busy year of trading, the two Young Enterprise companies called “Identity” and “Roulette” have been rewarded for all their efforts.

The highlight of the year-long programme culminated in the Tameside, Rochdale and Oldham Area Final which took place on 1st April 2009 at ‘Brother UK’ headquarters. Both companies worked incredibly hard in preparation for this prestigious event. They had to prepare a company report, put together a final presentation and show a trade stand – all of which were to be judged at the final.

All the companies’ members attended the Area Final and after a rigorous inspection of the trade stands by the judges, four representatives from each company made a presentation in front of the judges, teachers and fellow competitors.

Following a buffet dinner the results were announced. Both teams were rewarded for their hard work and dedication. “Identity” won the hotly contested ‘Best Trade Stand’ award and “Roulette” was awarded the trophy for the ‘Best Company Report’.

The final award of the evening was for the ‘Best Overall Company’ which also brought with it the chance for the winning team to continue towards the ‘Best International Company’ competition.

“Roulette” were announced the winners!

We now wish “Roulette” the best of luck as they move forward to the Greater Manchester Final which takes place at Old Trafford on 5th May 2009.
