Charity Netball Match

News posted: 13-10-2008

The long awaited charity netball match between the boy and girl Prefects took place on Monday 13th October. The boys were all required to behave as much like female netball players as possible, to the extent that skirts and wigs were compulsory. All the boys looked a treat, but Adam Green most definitely should be awarded woman of the match for his electric pink ra-ra skirt and fishnet tights! The first half was very closely fought, with the boys showing a high level of skill on court. This resulted in a half-time score of 5-5. In the second half, the boys tired of sticking to the correct netball etiquette. Although they didn’t become excessively rough, the length of their passes and their penalties for obstructions increased, which unfortunately for them allowed the girls to forge ahead. The final score was 12-7 to the girls. The best outcome of the event, however, was that other members of the Prefect body managed to collect £110 for Heathbank Daycare Centre for Disabled Adults from the spectators who lined the fences round the netball court.
