Once again we are very pleased with the success of our students in this year’s A level results with a pass rate of 99%. 13 of the 80 student cohort achieved 3 or more A grades. Emma Howarth achieved 4 A grades at A level and 2 A grades at AS and will go to Birmingham University to read Medicine and Katy Laverty achieved a superb 5 A grades at A level and will read History at Manchester University.
We were delighted that Emma Howarth, Louise Richards and Lucy Simpson were all placed in the top ten in the country for Human Biology for the AQA examination at AS level and Emma also achieved a top ten place at A2 level in Human Biology, whilst Charlotte Watson, with a perfect score of 600/600, was placed in the top five for English Literature.
It is always pleasing to see students achieve their potential and open the doors to future success. 83% of grades achieved were A, B and C, which will ensure that our students earn places at the best universities in the country and on the most competitive courses.
