Curriculum

Curriculum Years 3 - 6

Hulme Court uses the National Curriculum as a base line upon which to build. However it does not restrict itself to the boundaries of the National Curriculum, aiming to extend boys rather than be confined by legislation.

40% of lesson time is Maths/English with a broad curriculum filling the remaining time. Other subjects include:

• Physical education
• Science
• History
• Geography
• Art
• Music
• Modern languages
• ICT

Boys receive reports both at Christmas and at the end of the Summer term. Half termly assessments give parents a 'snapshot' of their child's progress in Maths, English, Science, History and Geography. These are sent home at each half term and give the teachers' assessment in terms of effort and work.
