Year 6 have been looking at the work of the Futurists to inform their response to figures in motion.
The Futurists tried to capture movement in their work by showing the many stages of getting from one point to another.
The Futurists tried to include movement in the space around the object to exaggerate the speed within the picture.
Year 6 started by making drawings of mannequins in eight stages of movement. These drawings have been simplified and overlapped and lines have been drawn extended into the background to show movements made in the air around the figures.
