Year 3 visit Tommyfield Market, Oldham

This morning year 3 visited Tommyfield Market, Oldham. This was to be their last retail outlet to compare prices.
They looked at how the fruit was displayed, and how this differed to Sainsburys and Morrisons. They noticed that the fruit wasn’t pre-packed, it was all sold by weight. The prices were clearly displayed but the market stall didn’t advertise their goods like the big supermarkets.
They now have to decide, in their enterprise groups, where to buy their produce from so that they can make the most profit. Their smoothie and fruit cafés start trading on 9th/10th November for three weeks. Look out for posters appearing around school!
