Curriculum

Curriculum Years 3 - 6

Whilst we use the National Curriculum as a base line upon which to build, we aim to extend and offer pupils the opportunity to experience additional challenges through a variety of means.

We aim to develop skills in reading, writing and numeracy through a wide range of subjects taught, in many cases, by subject specialists from both Estcourt and the Senior School. We encourage girls to express themselves in written and oral work and to develop the important skills of working independently as well as a member of a group.

40% of lesson time is Maths and English with a broad curriculum of other subjects filling the remaining time including:

• Modern languages
• ICT
• Religious Studies
