Oldham Schools' Individual Table Tennis Championships

Hulme were yet again well represented at the Oldham Schools' Table Tennis Championships, this time at the individual competition. Tom Farrell made the quarter-finals with some excellent play. Andrew Tarpey and Callum Jones managed to avoid each other, placed in separate halves of the draw for the knockout stages. Both made the final with convincing victories over Crompton House opponents. These two have not met in a competitive fixture for a long time and there were anxious shots from both sides of the table. Callum took an early lead, moving around the table well before Andrew started to show his dominance and take the title. Well done to all three Hulme boys.
