Local Businessman Pops Into Year 3!

News posted: 03-11-2009

Year 3 had the opportunity to speak with a local businessman, Mr Jeremy Broadbent. He'd heard that Year 3 were starting their own Smoothie and Fruit cafe and offered to come in and offer the girls some constructive advice on how to run a successful business.

This has been an ongoing topic that Year 3 have been working towards since starting in September. We have already looked at advertising, marketing and finance and Mr Broadbent's advice today will hopefully ensure that we have three successful cafes over the next three weeks.

We found out that Mr Broadbent has many different companies and interests, but one of the most important things to remember is the customer, if they're happy they'll always come back and that will make you happy!

The girls had lots of probing questions to ask and Mr Broadbent did his best to answer them all.

The experience and advice that Year 3 have gained by speaking to professional people has been invaluable and will, no doubt, stay with them throughout their lives!
