Kindergarten Book Week

‘Book Week’ is an annual event at Hulme Kindergarten and is eagerly anticipated by staff and students alike. This year saw our students focus on the children’s classic ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ by Maurice Sendak. Throughout the week the children took part in a wide variety of events from drama workshops to cookery classes and the text truly was brought to life! Students dressed as a book character of their choice and once again the creative efforts of our parents must be praised; Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, Oliver Twist, Fern from Charlotte’s Web to name but a few! Staff once again upheld the tradition of performing a play for the children and this year staff performed Alice in Wonderland, expertly adapted by Mrs Laverty. Mrs Wood headed the cast as The Queen of Hearts for what was a very entertaining morning! Many thanks to all students, parents and staff for making this year’s Book Week an unforgettable educational experience.
