Harvest 2009

News posted: 29-10-2009

The children gathered at St Thomas’ church last Thursday morning to celebrate Harvest. Many donations had been sent by our generous parents for Lifeshare; a Manchester charity that helps to meet the needs of the homeless and disadvantaged in Manchester and Salford. Rev. Dawson led the thanks and praise before we listened to performances from all areas of Kindergarten. The Nursery children delighted our audience with a performance of ‘Autumn Leaves’, whilst the Reception children sang about gathering together their fruits of harvest. The Year One and Two children sang ‘Come on everybody, lettuce rejoice...’ before the Speech and Drama group addressed the congregation with a well rehearsed poem. May we extend our thanks and gratitude to our parents for their generous harvest gifts and their on-going support for all we do at Kindergarten.
