Pizza at Fresca!

News posted: 14-10-2009

Year 3 had the experience of a lifetime! They were very privileged to be able to go into Fresca of Delph before they opened, to see how a restaurant is run, learning how to take orders and then inputting the orders on to a computer.

They were then shown how to make their very own pizza. Matt, the head chef made a sample and then each girl made her own, choosing her very own toppings.

The pizzas were then placed into the special stone oven (bought especially from Verona). After 4 minutes the pizzas were taken out and each girl sat down to enjoy their own pizza and a glass of orange juice.

At 5.30 the doors opened to the public. Many parents and grandparents arrived and each girl took her family to their table. They took their orders and then placed the order on the computer, this then sends a printout to the kitchen. When the food was ready they carried the orders over to their families and sat down with them.

Miss Shepherd came to help and Summayah and Lizzie waited on for her. She was very pleased with her waitresses for the evening and commented on how well behaved and charming Year 3 were.

A big thank you to Mr Broadbent for allowing us into his restaurant and to all his wonderful staff, especially Charlotte and Matt who made us feel extremely welcome, we'll definitely be back!
