80's Reunion - The White Hart Inn Lydgate - 16th October
News posted: 22-02-2005
October 16th 2004 was the date for the 80's reunion held at the locally renowned White Hart Inn Lydgate.
The event attracted 100 ex pupils most of whom attended school during the 1980's. The guests were treated to champagne and canap's on arrival followed by a four course dinner. During the meal old boy Anthony Kinsey provided musical entertainment in the form of singing and playing the saxophone. There was also a magician who entertained guests between courses.
The meal was followed by speeches, a raffle and an auction both which generated funds for the school. The evening concluded with an 80's disco and unfortunately finished all too early.
The school was represented by our Headmaster Ken Jones, Governor and Old Boy Jeremy Broadbent, Old Girl and Marketing and Development Manager Kate Chapman and Marketing and Development Secretary Sharon Green.
The event was a huge success and it was great to see so many of you reminiscing about the good old days!!
Many of you have already made enquiries about the 2005 reunion event which will once again take place at The White Hart Inn on 8th October 2005. This time we are considering a joint 80's and 90's reunion and hope to have even more people attending.
We would once again like to thank all those who supported this event and look forward to seeing even more ex pupils next year.
